UNICEF and UNFPA Joint Programme initiated in 2008 to put global efforts into ending Female Genital Mutation, expanding over 17 countries from which 16 are in Africa where this phenomenon is practiced on a large scale, to end these violent acts the joint programme invested in changing harmful social norms, raising the awareness of gender equality and women health care.

This year on the 11th to the 13th of June the Joint Programme Annual consultation took place in InterContinental Cairo Semiramis, Egypt, where country delegations attended to discuss the issue, raise local challenges in each country and offer a wide range of solutions in order to stop all harmful practices globally which is linked to the Sustainable Development Goal 5.3

We happily worked on the event’s production, after assessment of the venue we’ve suggested the perfect setups from backdrops to 30 m screens, and technicalities suited for each hall, prepared a backup plan for all the internet connections and technologies for a smooth operation during the event as well as providing our organizational team and ushers to guide the people through the 3 day event.

 

Also we’ve supported a market place which took place in an opposite hall of the event

 

and a press conference with all the branded production needed, the conference was issued by the National Committee for the eradication of FGM, Dr Azza El Ashmawy Secretary General of National Council for Childhood and Motherhood and Dr Maya Morsy President of The National Council for Women attended the press conference and discussed some important guidelines and the duties upon media platforms towards FGM,

As did Ambassador Dr Moushira Khattab attend the press conference emphasizing on how FGM affects negatively on women who experience it and our duty to put efforts to end this behavior.
